Private Sector Urged to Support Barbados Development and Bridgetown Revitalization

Private sector urged to support Barbados' social and economic progress and Bridgetown's redevelopment. ICC World Cup 2024 seen as catalyst for legacy benefits and revitalization. Chairman Noel Lynch addresses BCCI members.
THE PRIVATE SECTOR has been challenged to step up its game and do more to assist Government with the social and economic advancement of Barbados, as well as the redevelopment of Bridgetown.
It has come from chairman of the National Organising Committee for the International Cricket Council World Cup 2024, Noel Lynch, to members of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) at their 198th annual general meeting business luncheon at Hilton Barbados yesterday.
Speaking on the topic ICC World Cup: Catalyst For Revitalisation Of Bridgetown And The Economy, he said the June 1 to 29 event presented an opportunity to create “legacy benefits” for Barbadians. He also echoed BCCI president James Clarke’s opening remarks that it was “a golden opportunity for Bridgetown to reinvent itself”. (GC)
