Man Charged with Murder and Drug Offenses, Remanded in Custody Until March 31

Rachad Rudolf Hoyte, 32, faces murder charges for the November 9, 2022 incident. Additionally, he is accused of drug-related offenses and retaining foreign currency unlawfully. Remanded to prison until March 31.
Rachad Rudolf Hoyte, 32, of Barkers Road, Haggatt Hall, St Michael, has been charged with the murder of Odwin Grannum that took place on November 9, 2022.
In addition to the murder charge, Hoyte is facing multiple drug-related offences.
He has been charged with possession of cannabis, possession with intent to supply, and trafficking a quantity of the drug between February 22 and 25.
He is also accused of unlawfully retaining US $85,505 (equivalent to BDS $169,299) in foreign currency.
Hoyte appeared before Magistrate Manilla Renee in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on Monday and was remanded to Dodds Prison until March 31.
