Grace Carter wins $10,000 in cash and vouchers from Berger Paints Barbados' Christmas promotion. CEO Rhea Singh also announces praise for paint quality and plans for company expansion.
Grace Carter, a first-time customer of Berger Paints Barbados, received a New Year’s surprise after capturing the grand prize of $10 000 in cash and vouchers in the company’s Christmas promotion, which ran from October to December 2023.
At a brief ceremony held at Berger’s Sun Plaza Colour Shop location, Carter, who had never won anything before this, walked away with a grand prize package consisting of $6 000 in cash, $3 000 in grocery vouchers, and $1 000 in gas vouchers.
Expressing her joy, Carter said: “Everything I own and have, I had to work very hard for, so I am very grateful and thankful to Berger for this. I already have plans in place from last year to do something, so this is going to help me greatly.”
Regional Sales Manager for Berger Paints Barbados Limited congratulated Carter, and extended gratitude to the Barbadian public for their continuous support, noting that the company experienced “phenomenal sales” during the Christmas season.
Speaking on some of the company’s other achievements in 2023, General Manager Rhea Singh announced the completion of a benchmarking exercise commissioned with the Paint Research Association (PRA), a UK-based company that affirmed Berger’s excellence in categories such as stain resistance, coverage, washability, and fungi and algae resistance.
Singh stated: “We did these tests because we have done a lot of work in developing the chemistry of our paints to ensure that it meets the requirements of the Caribbean climate, and we wanted to be able to prove this to the general public in an unbiased way.”
Coming out of the study, Berger Royale claimed the top spot among water-based interior paints, excelling in stain resistance, drying time, washability, and flexibility. Meanwhile, Berger Weatherproof Ultra secured the first position in water-based exterior paint, demonstrating superiority in gloss appearance, flexibility, stain resistance, drying time, and high surface coverage.
Singh also announced plans to expand the recently released Berger Paints’ Colour Visualiser tool on their website, which allows customers to upload photos and choose from over 2 000 colours in the Colour Library, to create personalised colour combinations.
