Accused who informed surety via voice note of court absence remanded to Dodds Prison. Next court appearance on December 9 will involve direct transport from prison. Voice note played in court.
An accused who notified his surety by voice note that he would not be attending court on the given date was remanded to Dodds Prison yesterday.
As such, the next time Dexter Anthony Williams, 53, of Luke Avenue, Bayville,St Michael, is due
to appear on December 9, he will be getting a ride directly to the court compound via the prison bus.
On the last previous occasion when Williams should have been at court, the surety attended but the accused did not. When his surety messaged to remind him of his date, Williams left a voice note outlining his plans for that day, which did not include attending court.
The voice note, which was played in the District “A” Traffic Court yesterday, said: “I sitting out this one. I going miss today and carry in a medical next time.” (SD)
