New Road Traffic Accident Investigation Policy Set to Alter Police Response to Minor Accidents Starting September 15

August 22, 2024
Effective September 15, police will no longer respond to minor accidents in Barbados. Motorists must contact their insurance company to manage fender benders under the new Road Traffic Accident Investigation Policy.
The days of police officers attending minor accidents such as fender benders will come to a screeching halt on September 15.
Instead, motorists will have to call their insurance company to handle these matters.
Following months of notification, the roll-out of the new Road Traffic Accident Investigation Policy was officially announced yesterday by Attorney General Dale Marshall and Commissioner of Police Richard Boyce at a press conference held at the Henry Forde And David Simmons Legal Judicial Complex.
