Nicholas Alexander Jones attributed his criminal behavior to a severe cocaine addiction during his court appearance. The 23-year-old pleaded guilty to burglary and fraud charges in Christ Church.
Nicholas Alexander Jones blamed his actions on his “bad drug problem”.
“I have a very bad drug problem. I’m using cocaine a lot every day,” he told the District “A” Traffic Court yesterday.
The 23-year-old, of Smith Gap, Sargeant’s Village, Christ Church, had just pleaded guilty to entering Adio Jones’ house, sometime between January 21 and 22 this year, and stealing two pairs of shoes, two pairs of boxers, a hair cutting machine, a pair of gloves and a bottle of perfume belonging to Jones.
He also admitted that with intent to make a permanent default in whole or in part on an existing liability, he dishonesty induced Kariya Hire Rentals, his creditor, to wait for payment of $625 by falsely representing that he would pay $625 and when called upon to do so, he failed to do so between October 29 and November 3 this year.
