St James Man Granted $40,000 Bail for Drug Charges, Denies Allegations in Court

St. James man, Adrian John Snagg, granted $40,000 bail for drug charges including trafficking and assault on a police officer. 14.85kg of marijuana seized. Court appearance at District "B" Magistrates' Court.
A St James man has been granted $40 000 bail after appearing in court on drug charges.
Adrian John Snagg, 38, of 124 Husbands Gardens, denied trafficking and importing cannabis, unlawfully assaulting Constable Mario Gibson and using threatening words to the policeman, all on December 27.
He is accused of saying: “When I get out these handcuffs and see you outside I gine ***k you up,” within Gibson’s hearing, and which were likely to cause him distress.
The 14.85 kilogrammes of marijuana had an estimated street value of $118 800.
Snagg was before Magistrate Douglas Frederick in the District “B” Magistrates’ Court at the Eric Holder Jr Municipal Complex, Horse Hill, St Joseph, on Thursday.
The self-employed man, who was represented by attorney Shadia Simpson, returns to court on March 17. (SD)
