Vendor Arrested and Charged for Drug Offences and Assault in Swan Street, The City

Jamar Omar Desmond Trotman, a vendor, has been arrested and charged for drug-related offences, including possession and trafficking of cannabis, as well as causing harm to a police constable. He appeared before the District 'A' Magistrate's Court and received a six-month bond and specific instructions regarding his movements. His next court appearance is scheduled for January 18th, 2024.
Police have arrested and formally charged Jamar Omar Desmond Trotman, 41 years, of Fordes Road, Brittons Hill, St Michael (a vendor) for several drug-related offences that were committed on January 5, 2024 whilst at Swan Street, The City.
He is charged with possession of cannabis, trafficking of cannabis, possession of cannabis with intent to supply and occasioning actual bodily harm to Police Constable 2329 Kiana Brito.
Trotman appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrate’s Court on Friday 6th January 2024 before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes where he pleaded guilty to the drugs. He was placed on a bond for six (6) months to keep the peace and if breached, he is required to pay $750.00 forthwith or thirty days in prison.
Trotman was also instructed not to go into Swan Street until the conclusion of these matters. He is scheduled to reappear on January 18th, 2024.
