Fatal shooting at Silver Sands, Christ Church leaves one dead and another injured. Incident occurred near Silver Sands Road and McClean Gap. 20th murder of the year, investigations ongoing.
One man is dead and another injured following a shooting on earlier today at Silver Sands, Christ Church.
The shooting occurred around 5:47 p.m. near the junction of Silver Sands Road and McClean Gap, close to a local shopping complex.
The deceased and several others were gathered at the junction when a vehicle drove up and multiple gunshots were fired. The men scattered, but one was found lifeless on the ground, and another was injured and taken for medical assistance in a private vehicle.
This incident marks the 20th murder of the year.
Investigations are ongoing.
