"The Samuel Jackman Prescod Institute of Technology (SJPI) will be closed for repairs from Oct 23 to Nov 17, 2023. Classes will be suspended and administrative services will be offered remotely."
The Samuel Jackman Prescod Institute of Technology (SJPI) will be closed for repairs from Monday, October 23, until Friday, November 17, 2023, in the first instance.
The closure is to ensure the safety of staff and students, as the SJPI strives to enhance current and future learning experiences. During this period of closure, the following changes will be in effect:
Suspension of all classes on Monday, October 23:
All classes will be suspended on Monday, October 23. Theoretical classes for all full-time programmes will be conducted online, beginning Tuesday, October 24.
Distance and Continuing Division/Open and Flexible Learning Centre:
Face-to-face classes will be suspended from October 23 until November 17, in the first instance. However, theoretical instruction will continue online.
Remote access to administrative services:
All administrative services offered on campus will remain available remotely. Staff will continue to assist via email, online, and telephone.
