Former Member of Parliament, promoter, producer, and community activist Mark Williams has passed away at 83. He was known for his involvement in politics and founding the People's Pressure Group.
Former Member of Parliament, promoter, producer and community activist Mark Williams has died at the age of 83
Williams was a familiar player on the political scene. He was among the founders of the People’s Pressure Group formed by Eric Sealy. Williams was also a member of the Democratic Labour Party and later the Barbados Labour Party.
He represented the constituency of St Michael Northwest in Parliament from 1999-2003.
Williams, was also the producer of the popular Looking Back programme on the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation.
