The Barbados Meteorological Services is monitoring a developing low-pressure system near Barbados, expected to track north without posing a direct threat. Favorable conditions may lead to gradual development.
The Barbados Meteorological Services is closely monitoring a developing area of low pressure currently situated near 17N 39W, approximately 2,180 km (1,354 miles) east-northeast of Barbados.
This system is anticipated to track north of Barbados on Thursday and Friday, posing no direct threat to the island.
While the environmental conditions in the region are favourable for gradual development, the system’s intensity is likely to fluctuate as it progresses across the Atlantic basin.
According to the Meteorological Services, light wind speeds are expected on Wednesday and Thursday as the system nears the island chain. This will result in warm daytime temperatures and may produce isolated localized showers during the afternoons.
