MTW to Open Sluice Gate to Lower Water Levels at Graeme Hall Swamp on December 13-14, 2024

The Drainage Division of MTW will open the sluice gate on Dec 13, 2024, to reduce water levels at Graeme Hall Swamp in Christ Church. Worthing Beach remains open, discolouration is from natural debris.
The Drainage Division of the Ministry of Transport and Works (MTW) will open the sluice gate on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 7.00 p.m. until Saturday December 14, 2024 at 7.00 a.m.
Water levels at the Graeme Hall Swamp in Christ Church are currently elevated due to the recent rainfall, and as a result the sluice gate will be opened to reduce these levels.
Members of the public are reminded that Worthing Beach remains open. The Drainage Division is assuring the public that any discolouration seen is as a result of leaves, mud and debris and not sewage.
