Tragic fire in Kingston claims the lives of a father and three-year-old child, Cleon Williams, in Wallen Path. Investigation ongoing. Our thoughts are with the family.
KINGSTON – Two people, including a three-year-old child, died after their four-bedroom home in Wallen Path, Westchester, St Catherine, south of here, was damaged by fire on Tuesday night.
The authorities have identified the toddler as Cleon Williams and his 43-year-old father, Sherman.
Williams’ charred remains were found among the debris, while his father, who was taken to hospital died on Wednesday.
Reports said that the two had gone to bed when neighbours saw a ball of fire coming from the back room they occupied.
Firemen who forced their way inside, found the father lying by the door that was locked from the inside. He was clutching his son in his arms. (CMC)
