January 18, 2024

Work is underway to remove and replace the remaining corroded support beams at the Hampton Pumping Station in St. Philip.
To ensure the safety of the team entering the well, pumping at the facility has been stopped while repairs are underway.
The BWA reminds the public that pumping will resume intermittently and the capacity will be reduced.
Customers in the connected catchment are urged to store an adequate amount of water for their households to help, as their pipe-borne supply may also be intermittent.
BWA Water Tanker teams will continue to assist residents as a temporary measure.
The Barbados Water Authority thanks its valued customers for their continued understanding and patience and will continue to share updates on the progress of the work. (PR/AL)
