CIBC FirstCaribbean’s Walk for the Cure Draws Thousands in Barbados to Support Breast Cancer Awareness

Barbadians unite in large numbers to show support for CIBC FirstCaribbean's Walk for the Cure, with participants running, walking, and skating to raise awareness and honor loved ones affected by breast cancer.
Barbadians turned out in their numbers to support this year’s CIBC FirstCaribbean’s Walk for the Cure.
Many of the estimated 20 000 people who were decked out in pink T-shirts began the trek at Warrens around 3:30 p.m.
Some ran, walked and even skated from the starting point to Gordon Cummins Highway, across Husbands, St James, Clermont Road and finished at the starting point.
Some of the participants said they were taking part to raise awareness and honour the memories of loved ones who passed away from breast cancer. (TG)
