A woman testifies in court about her experience of escaping her father's sexual abuse, revealing the circumstances leading up to the incident.
The signs were there, she knew what was coming and she decided she “couldn’t do it any more”.
That was the testimony of an incest complainant, who said she made up a lie to escape her father’s house after years of him having sex with her, and called her aunt and police.
“That night he sent me in my room and I told my grandmother not to forget to come for me ’cause if I’m over by him at night, he would want to have sex with me,” she said.
The now 24-year-old woman told the No. 2 Supreme Court yesterday she ended up living with her father after a custody battle between him and her physically abusive mother. She also spent time at her grandmother’s house, which was on the same family plot of land. (HLE)
