A flash flood watch is in effect for western districts of Barbados from noon today and will be terminated at 6 p.m., or sooner if conditions warrant.
A flash flood watch is issued when heavy or excessive rainfall in a short period of time (generally less than six hours) could result in flash flooding within the watch area, but it does not mean that flooding will occur.
Throughout the afternoon, a combination of light wind speeds and adequate daytime heating will lead to western districts being affected by localised shower activity. Accumulations of 25 to 50mm in light to heavy showers are forecast across the watch area. (PR/SAT)
