Prime Minister Mottley addresses the impact of cellphones on youth anger and anxiety, emphasizing government support for young people through upcoming workshops during the Prime Minister's Cup launch.
Cellphone, says Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley, may be at the heart of the anger and anxiety among young people but the government believes in its young people and wants to play its part in curbing the unleashing of those emotions.
In her feature address yesterday at the Barbados Football Association’s headquarters in Wildey for the launch of the forthcoming Prime Minister’s Cup, Mottley shared that too many of young people seem angry. She believes that the use of cellphones may be among the contributing factors to the growing levels of anger and anxiety.
Mottley said that as part of the upcoming tournament scheduled to begin in late August, they will be hosting a few workshops that would help the development of young people. (ML)
